Kisumu County Education Executive CeC, Jennifer Kere, has urged teachers to take their roles seriously or risk losing their jobs.
Speaking on Wednesday at Kisumu Girls High school, Kere emphasised on proper service delivery to the students by making sure they are properly educated.
Kere noted that her ministry is allocating funds to support education by equipping library and having well trained teachers.
She sternly warned teachers who were not team players to take up to their roles seriously warning of taking action on lazy teachers.
The CeC also noted that equipped laboratories were required mentioning that she is going to allocate funds towards equipping school laboratories to aid students education.
“I am urging teachers to take their roles seriously and give proper service to the students. My ministry will ensure that education has improved in this region,” said Kere.
Migosi MCA Paul Achayo also called on teachers to do justice to students.
Achayo urged the ministry to take stern action to teachers who are not taking their duties seriously.
