Olago Aluoch defected to Ford Kenya in 2013 after a dubious ODM nomination exercise.

He eventually defended his seat which he first won 2002.

However, as the political marriage between Cord affiliate parties continues to get shaky, the residents asked Mr Aluoch to consider defecting from the Wetangula-led party to ODM, a party that enjoys much following in the county.

According to the residents, the only sure way that the veteran politician can defend the seat is by returning to ODM, a party that sponsored him to parliament in 2007.

They said the current uncertainty of a possible breakup that surrounds the Cord coalition may have adverse impact on his candidature if he sticks with Ford Kenya.

The residents further said the third term legislator has amassed enough political experience to be able to defeat his opponents on an ODM nomination.

Wycliffe Ouma, a resident, said Aluoch should study the mood on the ground before making any political move.
