Kisumu County’s Plateau Queens booked a place in the final of the girls' category of the ongoing Chapa Na Dimba na Safaricom national tournament finals in Kakamega.
The Nyando based side thrashed Central’s Limuru Starlets 6-0 in the girls Chapa Dimba na Safaricom national semifinal match played at the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega on Friday.
Mercy Akinyi scored four goals, with Margaret Atieno and Valentine Awour netting a goal apiece.
The Kisumu County side will now square it out against West Pokot’s Tar Tar in the girls’ final on Sunday.
The Pokot based side booked a final spot after beating Western’s Bishop Njenga 2-0 in the other semifinal.
On Saturday, boys will take to the field for the first and second semifinals boys’ category.
Nairobi’s Gor Mahia Youth will play against Western’s Mukumu Boys starting 10 am before Kapenguria Heroes of Rift Valley play against Nyanza’s Ombek Red Devils starting 12 pm.
Final matches for the boys and girls will be played on Sunday.
The winner in each category will pocket Sh1M and a fully paid trip to London for a meeting with Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama.
Wanyama who is Kenya National soccer team, Harambee Stars captain is the tournament’s ambassador.
