Kenyan film makers producing Kiswahili productions can now be voted in the most coveted Emmy Awards.

This was announced by the awards president who is also the chief executive officer of Emmy Awards Mr Bruce Paisner who is currently vising Kenya.

Paisner, on Thursday morning, hosted film industry stakeholders from all the 47 counties for breakfast in Nairobi where he spoke about his experiences on the evolving international media scene.

He told the film enthusiasts that to him, it was all about people entering the programmes which they feel are the best including those with Kiswahili content. 

Paisner continued that Emmy will send some of it judges for selections and offer the way forward concerning the Kiswahili productions.

Nakuru has not been left out in the production of Kiswahili productions.

Last month, Mr Peter Wachira of the famous Waridi TV series, completed shooting a Kiswahili drama series which incorporated local film makers and actors from Nakuru.
