Senate Majority Leader Kithure Kindiki has senate the planned impeachment motion against President Uhuru Kenyatta will fail.
The motion is set to be tabled in the senate by Nyamira Senator Kenedy Mong'are next year.
According to Mong'are, the president has been unable to handle the ongoing doctors strike effectively.
KIthure said that the motion is mischevious and aimed at attracting attention.
"My colleague is seeking the attention he lacks but craves for now that he has said he wants to be President. Any attempt of that nature will be torpedoed by Jubilee political troops and crushed,” Prof Kindiki said.
The Nyamira senator has argued that, just like any other Kenyan he has rights to table a motion of impeachment if he feels that the leaders are not being accountable.
