Kitui county MCAs have been urged to support Kitui county governor Charity Ngilu's administration in order to realize accelerated economic development.
Mwingi Youth Development Forum chairman Peter Musyoka said political bickering will derail the realization of the county’s vision.
He said the ward reps are representing the electorates and they remain focused to eradicate poverty, disease and illiteracy by supporting governor Ngilu.
“Governor Ngilu is focused to develop the county so as communities in the county will become self-reliant, build their resilience and rise from the shackles of poverty,” said Musyoka.
Musyoka noted that political wrangles will not be tolerated since the electorates have the rights to remove any ward rep who performs poorly in the county.
"Non-performing MCAs sabotaging governor Ngilu’s administration will be removed from office before the five-year term ends," he added.
Ruth Mutune a member of the group said Kitui will emerge the best nationally if MCAs work closely with Ngilu.
“Let MCAs work closely with the county government, pass bills and enact legislation geared towards uplifting the livelihoods of residents in the county,” said Mutune.
