According to Senator Wambua, Edith Nyenze is the right person to continue actualize the development agenda her late husband had started.

Wambua argued that by voting for Edith, Kitui West locals will be honoring their late MP whom he described as a development oriented person.

He said Edith Nyenze has the qualities and experiences to fill her late husband shoes as the Kitui West MP.

“Edith Nyenze has a history of being a performer and she will not disappoint you if elected as the next MP in the March 26 by-election, senator Wambua said during a fund raiser at Kauwi AIC Chruch in Kitui on Sunday.

Speaking at the fundraiser, Edith Nyenze asked locals to ignore propaganda being peddled by some aspirants eyeing the seat.

She claimed some aspirants were negatively attacking her family with intentions of making her chicken out of the by-election race.

The Wiper party  aspirant   promised to push for key development projects if elected in the by-election.

The Kitui West Parliamentary seat was left vacant following the death of veteran politician Francis Nyenze.

Nyenze died on December 6, 2017 after a long battle with colon cancer.

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) cleared five candidates, Robert Lelli (Narc Kenya), Denis Mulwa (Independent), Frida Mutui (Kenya National Congress) and Elijah Kilonzi (Chama Cha Mapinduzi) to battle with Edith Nyenze in the March 26 by-election.
