Nyamai said the endorsement is meaningless arguing it does not have the consent of all Kamba leaders.

Addressing journalists at the Parliament Buildings in Nairobi on Tuesday, Nyamai hit out at Kalonzo accusing him of assembling his friends to endorse him.

She said endorsement for any candidate must involve all the Kamba community.

The Jubilee MP said it is too early for the endorsements stating that elected leaders must focus on serving Kenyans.

“It is so shameful  that some leaders are hungry for power to an extend that they invite their friends to endorse them for seats,” Nyamai said.

Nyamai said politicians must stop premature campaigns and succession debates and work for the people.

She asked Kalonzo to unite all Kamba locals and leaders before thinking of being president in 2022.

The Kitui South lawmaker said the community continues to leave in disunity as the former Vice President watch.

“Kalonzo should call us tell u on how we should unite our people instead of campaigning for 2022,” Nyamai added.

On Monday, a section of Ukambani leaders endorsed Kalonzo’s 2022 presidential bid.

The leaders endorsed Kalonzo as the Ukambani region's political kingpin at the meeting held in Komarock of Matungulu, Machakos County.
