Parents from Nyamotenenio Village in Nyamira County have lauded Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire following the completion of an ECDE classroom that will see more than 60 pupils join school.
Speaking on Monday at a funeral service in the village, speaker after speaker expressed their support on MP Bosire saying that the class would reduce the distance covered by pupils seeking education in the neighbouring Mosobeti.
They asked the county government to expeditiously deploy a teacher to the new institution as part of the plan of employing ECDE teachers to reduce expenses of hiring another teacher.
“Let us give credit where it is due. Our MP has done us proud by constructing an ECDE classroom in this village. Our children have been walking long distances and that will be no longer be the case,” said Victor Ogari, one of the village member.
Another area resident Peter Rogena said that what remains is deployment of an ECDE teacher by the county government.
“It is also our right because the exercise of employing ECDE teachers has been ongoing. This will help reduce another cost of hiring a teacher,” added Rogena.
They urged elected leaders from the region to support the initiatives launched by the MP and desist from trivialising development issues.
“Our leaders should always join forces to tackle the problems we are facing. It is important that leaders, especially MCAs in the Constituency supported MP Bosire in executing development in the region rather that engaging in endless intrigues,” said Samson Nyaata, parent.
