Njoro MP has disputed rumours that he connived with rogue land brokers to defraud internally displaced persons (IDPs) living in Njoro on account that he would resettle them at Kisima Farm.
Speaking on Tuesday when contacted over the matter, the MP said that he is aware of the rumours but he in no way colluded with anyone to ask for money from the IDPs.
He also said that those spreading the rumours should stop.
“I have never asked anyone for money in my name or using someone else’s name like the report alleges. If they gave the money to people using my name, they should look for them and ask for a refund and if they refuse, they go to the police and record a statement to that effect,” said Kiuna.
His response follows unconfirmed reports that he was part of a brokered deal that asked for money from integrated IDPs living in Njoro for resettlement in Kisima farm located within the area.
Kiuna also called on the government to continue supporting 2007/2008 post election violence victims who up to today, have not been resettled.
