Devolution CS, Mwangi Kiunjuri, has lashed out at NASA leader Raila Odinga over his plans to be sworn in as President.
Kiunjuri has said should Raila make good his plan, he will be deemed to be attempting to form a government unconstitutionally and legal action will be taken against him as provided for in the law.
The CS said, Raila should come out in the open and tell Kenyans under which law he would be sworn in, as the constitution only provided for swearing in of a person who is duly elected and declared by the electoral body to have won in an election.
“I want to be crystal clear on this, if any other process not enshrined in the constitution is administered, that will be going against the laws of this Country and amounts to a criminal offense punishable by the law,” said Kiunjuri.
He said all legal processes had been followed in unlocking the presidential election stalemate and it was now time the country to move on.
He said no amount of anarchy would earn him power, as there was no room for the formation of a parallel government.
