Devolution Cabinet Mwangi Kiunjuri has hailed the passing of a bill barring politicians from party hopping ahead of the next general election.

According to Kiunjuri, the move will ensure tolerance and loyalty to party politics.

Kiunjuri who was speaking when he toured Ngano-ini, Kiriko and Pesi areas in Laikipia West on Sunday stated that the move was a significant step towards promoting political maturity in the country.

The Bill which was passed last week was meant to deter candidates from switching parties in the event they lose in primaries.
