Led by Devolution Cabinet Secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri, they have asked the President not to waste his energy responding to Raila's corruption allegations.

"Raila is grasping at anything to drag Uhuru's good name in the mud for political gain. When he wakes up in the morning instead of asking his wife for tea he speaks about Uhuru," remarked Kiunjuri.

"When he goes to a hotel, instead of speaking to a waiter he speaks about Uhuru and before he sleeps he has to talk about Uhuru. The President should leave Raila to us because we can handle him," the CS added.

Speaking during a funeral service on Monday in Buuri constituency, Meru County, Kiunjuri said the Jubilee legislators will also unearth the multiple scandals in which Raila's name had been mentioned.

Laikipia East MP Peter Kimaru said Raila launched attacks against Uhuru after realising his attempt to tarnish Deputy President William Ruto’s name had borne no fruit. On Sunday, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria accused Raila of politicising the fight against corruption, saying he is doing so to undermine Jubilee’s resilience to end graft.
