Nearly an year since the Makueni county shooting incident Makueni governor Kivutha Kibwana has condemned Makueni senator Mutula Kilonzo junior and area member of parliament Patrick Masimba for being behind his impeachment from office.
In his tour at Kalawa, Kibwana accused Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior of back stubbing him. Kibwana said the Makueni senator had forgotten that Kibwana was at the forefront fighting for him to inherit the seat of his late father Senator Mutula Kilonzo.
Kibwana also said that his Muungano party is ready to merge with wiper party ahead of 2017 general elections.
In a rejoinder Mbooni MP Michael Kisoi rubbished the allegation which the governor leveled against Makueni senator saying that issues of corruption must be criticized no matter who holds the public office.
Kisoi pointed out an ECDE class which is said to have cost Sh1.3 Million and as leaders from the county, they have to question any misappropriation of county funds.
He cautioned the governor to desist from attacking wiper MPs unnecessarily else they will take political action against him.
Kisoi blamed EACC for not taking any actions against Makueni County Government on corruption issues arguing that a lot of tax payers' money was unaccounted for.
Makueni county had in the past hit the headlines over county officials wanting to impeach their governor.
