Carwash world vision residents have challenged the Kisumu Water and Sewerage Company (kiwasco) to speed up in repairing broken pipe to improve the water insufficiency in estates.
Carwash world vision residents through their representative Robert Okoth speaking yesterday at carwash challenged the kiwasco staff to improve the water shortage by mending their broken pipes.
The furious residents noted that there has been one week water shortage asking the kiwasco team to improve their working patterns by mending faulty tanks, pipes, taps and meters stating that water was a basic resource and was life.
According to them huge water shortage would lead to cholera spread as the residents ended up using little water brought in carts that they fully doubted their contamination.
“kiwasco should improve their service deliveries by checking broken pipes that would enhance water shortages ,water is essential and locals can’t do without water and we challenged for proper service delivery,” said Okoth.
His counterpart Beatrice Njeri also noted that the water shortage in the region is so rampant asking the kiwasco to keenly see the issue would be as they suffered for water for usage.
According to her she noted that was negligence of duty asking those in operation to get responsible and give the locals’ well and required service.
Mary apartments landlady Maureen Ogango also complained on the high rate of water loss in the estate, according to her much was needed in place to help locals get water as for their usage.
