Kisumu Water and Sewerage Company (Kiwasco) has been challenged to change faulty metres for accurate water usage reading.
Water users in the area allegedly spotted inconsistency readings which occasioned high water bills yet the water usage was minimal. Allegedly, there were inconsistent metre readings in subsequent months that never tallied.
The residents converged at Migosi Ward office on Thursday to air their concerns challenging the officers concerned to improve their meter system by checking the faults.
Among the residents were Migosi MCA Paul Achayo, county residents chairman Audi Ogada and nominated MCA Lydia Odhiambo.
Ogada promised to investigate the issue by putting Kiwasco team to task to replace their faulty meters for credible meter reading,
He also challenged the residents to remit the fee as required as the fee would Kiwasco to improve water services like pipes that were in bad conditions and chemicals for water treatment.
