Employees of Kenya Meat Commission, Athi River plant are impressed with the firm’s rapid transformation.
They say the company has been improving both in production and management since the current Managing Commissioner Joseph Learamo took over office.
“We as workers of Kenya Meat Commission who have worked in the company for more than 10 years cannot hide our joy, the company is indeed transforming and all of us are feeling the impact,” said Boniface Otieno.
Mr Otieno who works in the company’s slaughter house said the level of operations in the firm has equally improved.
Joan Mbithi on her part said all was well for Kenya Meat Commission.
According to her, the company’s modernisation and staff rationalisation was a brilliant idea to ensure efficiency and improved production.
Mbithi said once the entire modernization and rationalization process is over, the firm will definitely stand on its feet and make maximum profits thereby ensuring self sustainability.
The workers who spoke to this writer separately at the factory’s compound in Athi River town on Thursday attributed the developments to Learamo.
Nelly Cherono said the managing commissioner is a professional with technical skills, experience and expertise to run the company.
