Molo MP Jacob Macharia has revealed that Molo Sub County is set to have its first medical training college to address health issues in the area.
Speaking today at Molo Town, during a development projects tour, Macharia said that the medical health facility will offer training to students from the area and other parts of the country.
“The health facility will offer medical training to our students and I urge the locals to support the project,” said Macharia.
The legislator said that its pleasure to have the construction of the college built in the area.
“Tribal clashes that have been witnessed in Molo have been solved and it’s for this reason we have the construction of the college,” said Macharia.
He says the college would be completed by September.
Nakuru County CEC Minister of health Dr Mungai Kabii has also supported the project saying that it will address the storage of health workers in the county.
Mungai said that the county has been experiencing an acute shortage of health workers and the construction of the medical training college will help in the provision of qualified staff.
He said the county government of Nakuru has been mandated to provide quality and affordable health services.
Kabii, however, warned of politics in the project saying the involvement of politics would derail the vital health medical college.
