The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, KNCCI Director Mary Muthoni has appealed to politicians to throw their weight on matters reviving the Kenyan economy.

Speaking on K24 Wednesday, she highlighted dangers accruing to the economic slowdown, saying that the cost of living will further ascend should politicians not iron out their differences.

"There is a thin line between economy and politics.Saying that business is about to collapse is wrong because it has already collapsed. Its now upon our leaders to help us embark on reviving our economy. The earlier they resolve the impeding stalemates the better our economy will heal.We have spent longer doing politics which has cost us a lot," attested the KNCCI boss.

The economist further urged Kenyans to fully resume work countrywide with the goal in mind of reviving the Kenyan economy, saying that everyone has a critical role to play.

"Let farmers produce their products to the market and we will buy them.It is an interconnected duty for all to ensure they contribute to it," she added.

The KNCCI steward pleaded with the government to ensure that a conducive environment is set with the required mechanisms in place.
