During a phone interview with this writer, Misati said small and middle business people who have been seeking loans from commercial banks had suffered  a lot due to the high interest rates charged thus discouraging them from expanding their businesses.

"It has been our prayer that when the National Parliament passed the bill that the President would assent to it. I thank him for saving many small and middle business people who had despaired from seeking bank loans," the chairman added.

He further said that the move will signal more clients seeking credit from banks.

"The rates were as well killing the morale of customers seeking bank services but I am sure now banks will be loaded with people seeking loans" added.
