Uasin Gishu Kuppet Executive Secretary General Elijah Maiyo has hit out at Knec over delayed payment of exam supervision money to teachers.
He said despite teachers supervising 2015 KCPE and KCSE exams, they have not been paid.
"Why is Knec taking teachers for granted? It's now eight months and no one seems to bother to pay them their money," he said.
Speaking in his office on Tuesday, Maiyo said if nothing is done to offset the dues, teachers will not supervise this year's national exams.
"Why is it that always the rights of teachers are infringed on, forcing us to go to the streets, are we not human beings?" he posed.
He revealed that the affected teachers will carry peaceful demonstrations and file a petition to the Uasin Gishu County Director of Education over the matter.
"The demonstration will be conducted on Friday in all Kuppet branches in protest of the unpaid money. All teachers are urged to participate fully, since it's a directive from Kuppet head office," he said.
