A Kenya National Examinations Council (Knec) officer was on Tuesday arraigned in a Mombasa court for allegedly leaking a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exam paper.
Appearing before Chief Magistrate Teresiah Matheka, Dennis Were Juma denied the charges of leaking the papers before students sat the exams.
The court heard that Mr Juma disclosed the contents of the Chemistry Paper One exam to an unnamed person at the Migadini Complex High School in Mombasa on November 7.
According to the Nation, Juma was also charged with misuse of exam materials and negligently using them in "a manner prejudicial to the proper and fair conduct of the KCSE examination".
He was released on a Sh500,000 cash bond with a surety of the same amount.
The case will next be heard on December 13.
