KNEC acting CEO Mercy Karogo has asked the teachers' employer TSC to ensure that only teachers of integrity are selected for the exercise.

"It is important to appoint teachers of integrity who will be accountable and responsible, preferable heads of department and senior teachers," she said.

The Council has also introduced stringe measures to curb cheating, shifting from individual to communial responsibility, this is according to Karogo.

"If there is evident of widespread irregularities in any examination centre, examination results for the whole centre will be cancelled," added Karogo.

The tough measures come after last year's KCPE and KCSE examinations reported highest number cheating cases which saw 2,709 KCPE and 5,100 KCSE candidates results cancelled.
