Secondary and primary school heads are between a rock and a hard place.
Kenya national examinations council, Knec has extended the deadline for examination registration from March 31, 2016 to April 12, 2016 but their website is still slow.
Knec had promised to upgrade its website to enable the school heads to submit details of their students without delay but seems they have done little about the ugrade putting school heads in a limbo.
One of the requirements that Knec insisted on is a passport size photo of the candidates which the school heads are required to upload to the Knec website.
"Photos being a larger file compared to word documents, are taking too long to upload, especially when the website is jammed with thousands of users. The deadline is fast approaching and the photos are hectic to upload," a secondary school head in Kinanie, Machakos county, who did not want to be mentioned said.
Knec should upgrade its website or extend the deadline again.
