The Kenya National Union of Teachers Machakos County branch has applauded the Teachers Service Commission for a fair and transparent employment process.
Speaking on Wednesday, the newly elected Machakos County Knut secretary Judas Wewa stated the exercise had no corruption reports.
"The TSC has demonstrated fairness in the employment of teachers this year by paying qualified teachers according to the years of completion of college as it is supposed to be," said Wewa.
The KNUT secretary has assured that he will ensure employment and transfers are done without any corruption.
"It is the right of all teachers to be served without any favors, corruption or family background.
We are satisfied with this year's exercise as most of our employed are from within Machakos county," he added.
In the past, the teacher's representative, Knut and its employer TSC have been clashing and had a rough relationship over years with the main difference being teachers pay hike request.
