Kisii South Knut branch executive secretary Geoffrey Mogire said Ongwae had initiated development projects in the County and there was need for his 2017 re-election bid.

Mogire hailed Ongwae for serving residents by implementing development projects, and promise that teachers will vote for him in 2017 for a second term

“We will elect a politician to benefit residents in development like construction of roads water, street lights among others. What Our governor has done for us already shows he is capable of completing all projects when given a second term,'' Mogire said during Kenya's 53rd Jamhuri Day celebrations, at Gusii Stadium.
