The Kenya National Union of Teachers (Knut) Kisumu branch has threatened to mobilise his colleagues for a demonstration if former Maseno School principal Paul Otuola, is not reinstated.
Otuola was sent on a 30-day compulsory leave to allow for investigations, following claims of a Form One student being sodomised by his senior students.
Chairman Joshua Ogalla said the suspension was a witch-hunt and Otuola should be reinstated immediately. “In the event that this is not done by Monday, the county Knut leadership would draw a strategy on how to carry out the demonstrations,” said Ogalla.
Maseno school students went on the rampage, demanding the reinstatement of their principal.
The students rejected new principal Andrew Boup from Homa Bay High School.
Parents also opposed the suspension of the principal, saying they would not accept any changes.
