On Friday, Kobia told the court that he had agreed with the Congolese complainant to settle the matter out of court.

Magistrate Francis Andayi gave him until May 16, to bring the complainant and investigating officer in court to confirm his claims.

Kobia is facing the charges alongside his four bodyguards namely Alvin Anzaya, Nelson Moyi, John Mutwiri and Martin Mwangi.

It is alleged that on March 9, 2017, they abducted Congolese businessman Bachard Londole at Super Lodge along Kindaruma road before assaulting him.

He is accused of having been disorderly while carrying a short gun by firing one round on the same date at Body Zone Spar and Lounge along Kindaruma road in Kilimani.
