President Uhuru Kenyatta has insisted that the country will not be intimidated by the opposition outfit National Super Alliance (NASA) to skip the scheduled October 26 presidential election.
While speaking at a Jubilee rally in Murang'a, Uhuru said that there were efforts by the opposition to use foreign bodies to stop the polls.
Uhuru said that NASA leader Raila Odinga was trying to use former UN Secretary General Koffi Annan to broker talks with Jubilee and render useless the polls.
He accused Raila of not being interested in the rerun but only seeking options to get to power.
"We said this over one year ago an we are now being vindicated. He tried 'showing us' but it became hard and he is now kneeling before Europeans for help while he should be seeking votes," he said at Kenol in Murang'a.
"Foreigners will not help him because this is our country and we put our foot down...that Kofi Annan or any arbitrator is not welcome to Kenya to broker peace with someone not interested in an election. Kenyan voters will vote."
Raila recently flew to the UK after announcing that he and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka would not participate in the election.
