Nakuru county hopeful Koigi Wa Wamwere has bashed his rival Susan Kihika for allegedly pressuring him to drop his bid in her favor.

The former Chama Cha Mwanachi party leader alleges that Nakuru County Speaker and fellow aspirant Susan Kihika alongside her supporters have been pressuring him to exit the race in her favor.

According to a Facebook status he posted on Thursday, Wamwere alleges that Kihika has approached him requesting that he quit the race.

According to him, Kihika has sensed defeat but is still desperate for the position, a desire that is driving her into doing outrageous things. He has termed her as a crippled politician who can not represent Nakuru in the national political Olympics.

''Susan Kihika and her supporters have been urging me to leave the senator of Nakuru County to her after being Speaker of Nakuru Assembly for 5 years. But for those who ask others to step down for them are politically crippled who cannot represent us in the National Political Olympics,'' read the statement in part.

The former assistant minister has also maintained that he is the man for the job and asked Kihika to go for the County Women Representative post as he will trounce her in the polls.

''If the senator is too hot, go for Women Rep,'' he said.

The two have announced their bid for the post on the Jubilee Party ticket.

Others in the race on the same party include Andrew Yatich and Madaraka Mwithaga with more expected to surface as the August polls near.
