Photo/SDENakuru Senatorial aspirant Koigi Wamwere has come out clear on the reasons why he is better placed to take over the post as opposed to his rival, Nakuru County Assembly Speaker Susan Kihika.
In a statement on his Facebook page on Saturday, Koigi said that he is an experienced and accountable leader unlike Kihika who is corrupt and a reflection of impunity.
Koigi has also pointed out that unlike the way many people view their bids as a battle between the young and the old, it is actually a battle between those who mean well for the county versus the ill minded whose aim is to turn the county into a corruption hub.
''As the Senatorial race nears end of the first leg, let people know it is a distortion to say it is a contest between old guards and young Turks,'' read the statement in part.
''It is rather a struggle between corruption and impunity as symbolized by Susan Kihika and integrity and accountability as symbolized by Koigi wa Wamwere,'' he said.
The two are both eyeing to unseat the incumbent James Mungai.
They will first have to battle it out in the primaries before the winner gets the green light to face off with other parties' aspirants.
