Former Subukia MP Koigi wa Wamwere has said even if he believes in change, that change won’t be felt through Okoa Kenya drive as being pushed by the opposition.
The change that Kenya wants, Koigi said, is not that will benefit a few, but the whole country whose children continue to languish in poverty.
“I believe in change yes, but that change won't come from Okoa Kenya. Neither will it come from Punguza Mzigo drive or Pesa Mashinani, because all these campaigns are meant to give a few good life, and political mileage, but not to better the lives of millions of Kenyans who cannot afford a plate of food daily,” Koigi said while speaking on Wednesday at a Nakuru-based radio station, Sauti ya Mwananchi.
Koigi who is the leader of CCM party, also accused the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission IEBC of suppressing the opposition
"If IEBC is the body that will take us to elections 2017, then it should expect no faith from Kenyans,” Koigi said.
