In a Facebook statement on Friday, hours after the two leaders made the announcement, the former Subukia lawmaker said that the re-union will aid in the realization of the dream for a united nation.

The Odinga ally also bashed leaders who are opposed to the move terming them as ''war propagators'' who cannot stand the nation making strides and significant developments towards positivity.

''Congratulations Uhuru and Raila. Ultimately, Uhuru and Raila have met and talked about national dialogue. Congratulations to both of them and shame to propagators of war,'' said Koigi.

''May we have a future without those who only preach ethnic exclusion or others who preach water of ethnic inclusion and drink wine of ethnic exclusion,'' added the vocal leader.

Odinga and Kenyatta met at the Harambee House in Nairobi, a meeting that took the nation by surprise, and later emerged with an announcement that they have finally buried the hatchet.

They vowed to work together in a move aimed at salvaging the country from its current political division, only six moths after their heated rivalry in the August 8 presidential contest.
