Nakuru veteran politician Koigi wa Wamwere has asked the Jubilee government to pursue 2007/08 post-election violence culprits to ensure victims receive justice.

"The government must, therefore, pursue, try and punish culprits and ensure that victims get the justice they deserve," Koigi said.

Koigi however,urged the government to pursue national reconciliation should it fail to punish the perpetrators of the skirmishes that left over 1000 dead and several others displaced.

"If they are unwilling to punish the culprits, they should simply say 'tumekosa sana' and pursue national collective reconciliation based on genuine acceptance of each other as equal Kenyans," Koigi added.

This comes days after the International Criminal Court terminated cases facing Deputy President William Ruto and his co-accused Joshua Arap sang.
