The former Subukia legislator said leaders should not be invited to funerals to play politics.

"We should keep politics out of funerals. I totally agree leaders should shun politics at funerals. Equally people should stop inviting leaders to funerals to campaign for votes," he said.

"Funerals are solemn occasions where the living should mourn the dead and console the bereaved. Politics should have its own venues," he added.
