According to Komenda, the construction works at the school have already commenced and are expected to be completed in the next two months.

Addressing residents at Kiabonyoru on Monday, the county minister said the school will be moved to Getangwa in Itibo ward.

“The relocation of Kiabonyoru Secondary School at Getangwa is being undertaken by the national government in collaboration with the University of Eldoret and Sh20 million is expected to be used,” she said.

Komenda added that the university will provide an opportunity to students to study in Nyamira County, a decision the residents lauded.
