Former Konoin MP Julius Kones has urged Deputy President William Ruto to concentrate on executing his responsibilities and let him ‘deal’ with Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto.
The DP has been at loggerheads with the Bomet governor and their differences has sometimes has sometimes degenerated to politics of character assassination.
And Kones, who is eyeing the Bomet gubernatorial seat, insists that the county remains solidly a Jubilee zone adding that he was confident of dislodging Ruto.
“Sometimes I don’t think it’s necessary to deal with my friend Ruto. He should focus on promoting the development agenda across the country and let me deal with Ruto,” he said.
Kones added: “Bomet remains a Jubilee zone and I want to tell my friend (Isaac) openly that he cannot defeat me in a fair election. I will send him packing very early.”
Governor Ruto formed Mashinani Party, which he maintains that is an alternative to failing Jubilee government, which he has persistently blamed of sabotaging devolution.
