Kongowea MCA Jabess Oduor has blamed his political rivals over reports that he allegedly stole two cars from a British man.
Mr Oduar said he took two cars BMW X6 and Toyota Harrier from Joachim's wife as security for Sh1.8 million soft loan he gave to her.
“I am legally in possession of the vehicles until such a time when I will get my money back. Why are people not concerned how I will get my money?” Oduor said at a press conference at a Mombasa hotel yesterday.
When Joachim was contacted yesterday, he denied being legally married to Lilian Odhiambo, but Odhiambo said that the wedding took place on December 14, 2014.
Ms Odhiambo said the loan agreement was signed by Steuerwald Joachim, a Briton who denied it, on June 22-24 last year.
Oduor said he gave the money to Odhiambo in three transactions.
“I gave her Sh500,000 on the first day, Sh500,000 on the second and Sh800,000 on the third,” he said.
Steuerwald however, claimed that his signature was forged by Oduor and Odhiambo as the signature on his passport and that on the loan agreement did not match.
