Confirming the attack, the Konza area assistant Chief Jonathan Kamia has stated the issue is being addressed by Kenya Wildlife Service(KWS).

"The KWS officers arrived in Embakasi area on Thursday morning to track the animal that has killed four sheep during the night and traumatised residents," he added.

Speaking to James Kiatu a resident of Konza he stated that the animal that had been seen by residents at night was a hyena and had killed 2 other sheep last week.

"We don't sleep deeply at night because we can hear the sound of a hyena approaching our homestead so we wake up and try chasing it away in protection of our livestock," said Kiatu.

However, Kamia has stated that the KWS officers have teamed up with the residents in search of the animal day and night so as to curb the menace.
