Garissa Governor Ali Korane will outline his vision and development agenda for the county during the opening of the assembly on Tuesday next week, assembly clerk Mohamud Santur has said.

Santur noted that Korane will have to amend the current budget done in the previous administration through a supplementary appropriation bill.

“As the assembly will open officially, the finance and the appropriation bill will be at the top of the agenda to ensure that service delivery is not compromised. All pending bills that were not passed due to time constrains by the last house will be given priority,” Santur said.

Garissa Korane is also expected to unveil his cabinet and chief officers among other key positions in his administration for the assembly to vet the nominees.
