Garissa Governor Ali Bunow Korane has assured President Uhuru Kenyatta of North Eastern votes in the fresh presidential election to be conducted on October 17.

Korane says that he will conduct day and night campaigns to ensure Uhuru garners all the Garissa and North Eastern votes.

"We are going to do everything to make sure that President Kenyatta gets all the votes in North Eastern," he said as quoted by the Daily Nation.

Korane said North Eastern residents have confidence with President Kenyatta's government, further asking NASA leaders to prepare for humiliating and embarrassing defeat.

The Jubilee governor said that the opposition does not have numbers to win, further saying the locals are angered by the Supreme court ruling that nullified Uhuru's  re-election.

He said that Jubilee won free and fair in the August 8 presidential polls adding that Uhuru will now win with over 70 per cent in the fresh presidential polls.
