National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale has assured Garissa County residents that they will be served with equality after Jubilee party bagged the county governor's seat.

Duale said in the former governor's Nathif Jama government, the people of Garissa did not benefit due to high levels of corruption, poor infrastructure, poor health care, insecurity and food shortage.

The Garissa township Mp thanked Garissa voters for electing Ali Korane of Jubilee party as their governor, saying that Korane will bring change for the people."I can now breath a sign of relief after Jubilee bagged the governor’s seat. Despite being the Majority leader in the National Assembly, I was like an orphan because the former governor was from Wiper party. Today I stand here a very proud man. Thank you, residents of Garissa, for electing Korane, who will bring change,” said Duale.

Duale was speaking at Garissa primary school playground on Monday during the sworn in ceremony of governor Ali Korane when he took oath of office in the ceremony that was presided over by High Court judge Joseph Sargon.
