Garissa governor Ali Korane has asked the new county executives to uphold integrity following their appointment.

According to the county boss, the new officers are expected play an immense role in the transformation of the region. He assured residents that his government will promote public participation in the next five years after he defeated former Governor Nathif Jama of Wiper.

Speaking when he witnessed the swearing-in ceremony of the six officers, Korane said that the development of the region is a collective responsibility of different stakeholders. He also reminded the officials that fairness in the delivery of their duties is among the ways they can ensure progress of the county.

The governor has promised to address different areas of the economy following his win. During his campaign, Korane insisted that he was best suited for the job before he emerged victoriously. He will be banking on the close relationship he shares with President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William to drive the economy to great heights.  Agriculture, infrastructure, and security are among the areas he has promised to address in the next few months upon his election.
