Speaking at Garissa Primary School playground during his inauguration, Korane said that residents should prepare for a new dawn as he takes over power.
The county boss said that the residents have suffered because of different problems such as water shortage, which he said will be a thing of the past.
He assured the residents that he will solve their problems to make living more comfortable.
“The people of Garissa have suffered because of water crisis in the last four-and-half-years. This has affected all sectors of our economy,” he said, as quoted by Star.
He added: My administration will tackle water shortage by first doing an audit of the water sector, including GAWACO. We will address the water issue in Garissa township in our first 100 days in office.”
In reference to Agriculture, Korane promised to support them. He assured the pastoral communities that he will support them in different ways during his term as a governor.
“Our people are mainly pastrolists. We need to alleviate their economic hardship.” he said.
