He said the government has failed in guaranteeing Kenyans their security, which is their mandate and must act with speed to prevent more attacks.

"Its sad that Kenyans lives are continuing to be lost through Alshabaab attacks and no one seems bothered," he said.

Speaking to journalists on Thursday after attending the Mission for Essential Drugs and Supplies (MEDS) day Korir said security of the country should be heightened to prevent attacks by Alshabaab militia which has been the order of the day.

"Its sad that the Ministry of interior is given a lot of money in the country's budget and yet they are doing very little to protect Kenyans. If a police station can be attacked what of common Mwananchi," he said.

He added that intelligent officers should be deployed to Sub county level to protect Kenyans.

"In Moi's era, intelligence officers were at village level, therefore Jubilee government should borrow a leaf since it will guarantee Kenyans of their security," he said.

He also urged wananchi to stay vigilant and embrace Nyumba Kumi initiative by reporting any suspicious person in their midst to police station.
