Former Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) chairman Henry Kosgey has thrown his support behind Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid saying he will clinch the seat.
Ruto, also a former ODM pentagon member, has been traversing the country in a bid to popularise his candidature.
The Deputy Jubilee Party leader has however, backed President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election bid in this year’s elections.
“Deputy President I want to assure you that we are behind you and I am sure that you shall become the president of this country,” he said.
“These people sited here are waiting to Join Jubilee and let nobody scare you that Jubilee is losing ground. The party is becoming stronger and I assure you of a sure victory,” he added.
Ruto, who also served as KANU Secretary General, has been at loggerheads with Baringo senator Gideon Moi in what is perceived as political supremacy over Rift Valley votes.
