Kenyans on twitter (KOT) have expressed mixed reactions following the ban of shisha subsequent closure of smoking joints.
The government through ministry of health said it has taken the action through health concerns.
A number of Kenyans have supported the ban while others saying the ban wasn't in good faith.
Here are some of the reactions.
@hassanique Shisha ban is a ease to a boy child. No more heavy bills on night out.
@Asamoah_ Shisha is banned. Thank God. You need to visit 7D in Nakuru and see how cool kids loved it. At first I thought mungiki operatives were undergoing some Ichaweri oathing ceremony. Congratulations CS Dr. Mailu.
@ivanjamba At least we're leaving shisha in 2017. That's progress.
@kmtetezi Good riddance! I once upon a time found a female Kenya MP in a Malindi Hotel smoking & choking under clouds of shisha! That is how far this thing has gone.
@sirAlexas Slay Queens wamefika SGM (Special General) Meeting after ban ya Shisha 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@bonifacemwangi 'There is no escape': Nairobi's air pollution sparks Africa health warning https://t.co/UIMz9BKAXa Nairobi is one of the most polluted cities in the world and Shisha isn’t to blame. I don’t smoke but I believe CS health is overstepping his mandate. Focus on the REAL pollutants!
