The disqualification of Former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti from the Machakos gubernatorial race has continued to attract mixed reactions from different factions.
Besides politicians, Kenyan’s on Twitter (KOT) have also weighed in on the matter as we head to the August General election.
Ndeti, who has been a strong critic of the current leadership, was axed out of the race on the grounds that she belonged to two political parties.
The nullification of Wavinya’s nomination comes after MCA Peter Kyalo filed a case arguing that the lawmaker belonged to Wiper and her own Chama Cha Uzalendo.
“This committee has considered submissions from both parties and has come to the conclusion that the complaint has merit and is therefore allowed,” Commission chairman Wafula Chebukati said on Thursday. Social media has also had something to say about the matter.
