The political rivalry between Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter and Deputy President William Ruto has once again been attached to the 633 million shillings fraud case the lawmaker is currently fighting.
Nandi Hills MP Keter and two directors of Desai Industries Limited co-accused with 11 counts of forgery and conspiracy to defraud CBK 633 million on Monday denied charges levelled against them.
Appearing before Nairobi Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi; Keter, Arthur Ingolo Sakwa and Madat Suburali Chatur were on Monday charged with 11 counts related to conspiracy to defraud the Central Bank of Kenya, making a false document, forgery and uttering a false document contrary to various sections of the penal code.
The trio was arrested on Friday, February 16 and spent the weekend at Muthaiga police station.
Kenyans on Twitter have continued to give myriad responses to the case. Some interesting perspective is that DP William Ruto is behind Alfred Keter's woes.
Over the weekend, the MP lamented that he was fixed.
@oloojl said: "I think Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter toned down his attacks on DP William Ruto in 2017 to win back his Nandi Hills parliamentary seat. After winning, he started rebelling again. What is happening to him should be a lesson to other MPs. Choices have consequences, live with them."
According to @NERDBUOYR3CKAH, "To survive as a JUBILEE MP, one ought to leave his/her brain at home and let Duale refill it with camel milk. Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter hasn't complied."
@KiprotichEdwinK asked: "Is Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter one of the strong supporter of Gideon Moi for Presidency??????"
Alfred Keter and his two accomplices were released on a 5 million shillings or 2 million shilling cash bail each.
