The Kenya Premier League (KPL) has banned Posta Rangers coach Sammy Omollo for three matches.
This is after he was found guilty of unsporting behaviour in a league match at Narok Stadium.
The Independent Disciplinary and Complaints Committee (IDCC) Said the coach poured water on Sofapaka coach Sam Ssimbwa during the game on August 26.
“The conduct of Omollo was unsporting and hence qualifies for punishment provided for under Rule 7.3. In issuing the sanctions, we have put into consideration the reconciliation effort by both parties, which has helped mitigate the severity of the sentence,” said the ruling.
Apart from the three-match ban that starts immediately, IDCC also ruled that Omollo serves a three-match suspended sentence in case he engages in a similar conduct in the future.
